Founded in 2013, 100 Women Who Care Oakville is one of more than 700 similar groups worldwide focused on coordinating funding for local, community charitable organizations. We meet quarterly for one hour to hear three short presentations from local nonprofits. Members vote on the presentations, and each member e-transfers $100 directly to 100 Women Who Care Oakville. The winning charity receives 100% of the collected donations, creating a significant impact in our community. All donations are eligible for charitable tax receipts from the selected organization each quarter.

How does it work?
We meet quarterly to network and connect with other socially minded women while learning about our community’s needs. At each meeting, three local charities present their causes, and members vote to select one recipient. Each member e-transfers $100 to 100 Women Who Care Oakville, and 100% of the pooled donations go directly to the chosen charity. The selected organization provides charitable tax receipts to all members for their quarterly contribution.
How do I nominate a charity?
Members can submit nominations between 6:30-7:00 PM at each event. Three charities are randomly selected from all nominations to give three-minute presentations that evening. Either the nominating member or a charity representative may deliver the presentation. To be eligible, nominated organizations must be registered charities serving the Oakville community.
